About Us

How we met
We met through our wedding Instagram accounts back in Spring 2019, we got chatting as our weddings were 1 week apart and we had both got engaged 1 month apart! We had a lot in common and shared in the planning excitement. After lockdown in March 2020 we decided to set up a Zoom call for a weekly virtual games night with our fiances and then became bridal besties from there! To this day we still haven't met in person, with Lauren living in Edinburgh and Tiffany in Southampton, we live at opposite ends of the country and Covid has made it pretty difficult to meet (even though it feels like we've met already!). If you want to follow our own wedding planning journeys then check out The Bridal Edit where we share our wedding diaries and experience as brides to be!

The story behind the blog
In May 2020 after we both postponed our September 2020 weddings we both felt deflated about planning and like the excitement was gone from the wedding Instagram community. At that point we had no idea when weddings would even be allowed to take place again. We wanted to create a wedding blog with inspiration and advice created for brides, from brides, with love (hence where our name comes from). The blog started with our Lockdown Love series showing couples celebrating their 'would be' wedding day and still celebrating their love. Everyone loved this series so much that we did 3 parts with over 100 couples! We also reached out to some 2019 real brides and asked them to share their wedding days, to remind brides just how much they have to look forward to and that it will be worth the wait. Our blog focus has always been spreading positivity, and showing that love always wins. Once weddings could take place again, we started #MicroweddingWeek to show that even with 2020 restrictions weddings could still be the best day ever - and this is still our message.

Growing the bridal community
We're so excited that we have such a supportive community, and since launch we now have over 60,000 blog views and 8,000 Instagram followers @frombrideswithlove. In 2021 we launched the From Brides With Love Facebook community - a positive space for brides to be to chat all things wedding with strictly no mention of Covid-19, you can join the group here

How do I feature?
If you got married in the last 18 months you can submit your wedding here. If you are a bride to be and would like to submit your pre-wedding shoot to be featured then please click here. If you are a supplier and would like to submit a styled shoot in the last 12 months, you can do that here

Supporting small business
Support small business is close to our hearts and something we wanted to incorporate into the blog. In order to support wedding suppliers, as well as brides, during these tough times we allowed suppliers to write us guest blog posts and list their website and an optional discount code for free in 2020. We also do not charge for giveaway collaborations or to publish styled shoots. In November 2020, after lots of Christmas markets were cancelled, we launched our Instagram Christmas Fayre which took place on our Instagram stories on 14th-15th with 48 small businesses showcasing their Christmas collections. Going forwards we will be hosting more virtual markets and wedding fayres on Instagram - check out our upcoming (virtual) events here.
