Inspiration
This photoshoot was to capture the feeling of a brides special day and tell a story. A story of love!! We wanted to give brides-to-be a snippet of what they have to look forward to during these crazy times. If I’m honest, we pulled the shoot together in 3 days and until the night before we didn’t have a hairdresser!! We were so thrilled with the outcome and captured the look and feel we wanted to.
Theme
We wanted to keep a wintery feel whilst keeping the colours subtle. The palette was soft and in keeping with the natural surroundings and décor of the beautiful venue.
Hair and Makeup
We wanted something glam, yet low key and subtle with the makeup so it was versatile with all looks on the day. Chloe changed the hair 3 times and worked her magic in minutes. The first style was an elegant wave and after becoming a little swept she re-worked the classic waves in to really Hollywood and glam look. When changing accessories again she added a few twists for a half down look that so many brides are opting for.
Venue
I have personally been to weddings at Prestwold Hall and lots of our brides get married here. It’s a truly beautiful venue with the most amazing grounds. We didn’t over style the shoot as we wanted to work with the beauty of the venue. Sadly we didn’t get many outdoor shots due to the British weather.
Flowers
With florists struggling to order small quantities of flowers during the pandemic, we decided to opt for faux flowers and show how well they can work. For any brides planning a last minute or a micro wedding – this could be a great option.
Bridalwear
We chose 2 dresses for this shoot and lots of accessories to show how you can re-style a look. I launched my new online bridal accessories brand this month and it was great to show them off!! We went for a beautifully sparkly dress from Martina Liana which worked so well in the venue and added something special and unique whilst keeping it classic and elegant!
The second dress was from Essense of Australia. Again a real classic with a modern twist and worked really well with the accessories in the venue. Sometimes you really do need to work with the look and feel of a venue so ‘elegantly classic’ was just perfect.Choosing Suppliers...
One of the Prestwold Hall team is one of our brides and she’s super lovely too. When I messaged to say we were hoping to do a shoot before Christmas she messaged me back and said we could do this Sunday. I obviously jumped on the opportunity and contacted the others. Hannah from Fawecett Photography was actually one of my brides and she’s such a beauty!! We worked together on a shoot in the summer and giggled about ‘who would have thought we would be working together after that first bridal appointment’. Hannah’s work is totally my vibe and I knew she would work her magic!!
