How you and your partner met + your proposal story?
My best friend introduced us to each other and ever since we have been inseparable. Anthony proposed to me 3 years later in Mexico on the beach we then celebrated the night away drinking tequila!
What kind of ceremony did you have?
We had a registrar ceremony with personal readings we picked out for each other.
Something Old: my something old was very personal as it was my nannas wedding ring.
Something New: my sister bought me a pair of beautiful pearl earrings which worked perfect for my something new
Something Borrowed: my mam borrowed me her pearl necklace to match with my earrings it was a lovely touch
Something Blue: my wedding garter had a blue little bow added for my something blue
What was your favourite part of the day?
Finally getting to see my husband to be waiting for me at the bottom of the aisle.
What was the most emotional moment of the day?
Speeches as Anthony’s mam is sadly no longer with us my dad made a lovely mention for her in his speech with had everyone crying.
Advice for future brides…
The day goes so quickly so enjoy every second!
Song you walked down the aisle to: Elton John Your Song
Ceremony Songs: Ed Sheeran
Song for walking back up the aisle as a married couple: ACDC highway to hell
First Dance: come and get your love ‘Redbone’
Wedding must-have:
An amazing photographer as it has been so nice to look through photos from the day.
Did you have have anything unusual at your wedding?
Nothing unusual to say but we did walk out to Highway to hell! It had everyone laughing we have a picture of us both rocking it out down the aisle.
Tell us about the food...
We had a range of food options for our guests from beef, chicken, lamb and a vegetarian option I loved that my guest got to pick what they wanted to eat on the day
How did you choose your venue?
We always knew we would pick the South Causey Inn as we visit for night stays and food and drinks a lot. The people there are so lovely and welcoming.
Favourite wedding supplier: Our photographer Pete from Eye of the Tyne. Pete was such a laugh and made sure to get in all them shots which we thought we missed.
Best wedding splurge:
going all out for the venue we picked one of the pricier packages, but it was so worth it to see everyone enjoying drinks and food.

Is there anything you wish you'd done differently?
Picked an earlier time to get married so there was more time to dance and be merry with loved ones.
Favourite wedding planning moment: visiting the venue it was breath taking and makes it feel so much more real.
What was your first dance song?
We danced to Redbone ‘come and get your love’ we just went for it on the day was not a slow dance at all. We just had a laugh and it seemed everyone else seemed to love our horrendous dance moves lol. Anth even picked me up at one point and luckily didn’t drop me!
Tell us about your Honeymoon: we jetted off to the Maldives it was one of the most beautiful places we have visited. Crystal blue waters and cocktails on demand couldn’t ask for anything more.
