Venue
The venue is located near to Tunbridge Wells, in the middle of incredible fields, with horses at the back, a lake and the most beautiful oak tree. Chafford Park Estate has luxury accommodations in the Georgian Manor House, and also two unique barns for events. It is the perfect place for a rural getaway and a romantic wedding. The barn was also decorated with an impressive amount of fairy lights which made the shoot feel very romantic and intimate.
Inspiration
The photoshoot was inspired by both the autumnal season but also the British countryside. The venue was a beautiful barn and we were welcomed by three dogs. While it wasn’t an ideal day for a photoshoot with very heavy rain and grey skies, it gave us the ideal background for a real autumnal British wedding. As we say, a rainy wedding brings good luck!!
In fact, three dogs made the day so special as they started to run around, ask for cuddles and most importantly, kiss in front of the bride!! It was magical - they felt the love and got inspired to get married themselves - “you may kiss the bride!!”. The sausage dog did get lost in the layers of the dress at some point - made me think of Cinderella as the animals gather around her dress and help her to feel special in her ball gown.
Theme
For this shoot, we chose an autumnal theme but with a colour scheme twist. While the burnt orange look seemed ideal for autumnal colours, we decided to be a little different with some rose gold touches. The overall theme had a blush colour palette, rose gold, white and burgundy.
Florals
The bouquet, provided by Gray and Greenery, was the perfect combination of burgundy, white and green which went perfectly with the shirt of the groom and the beautiful dress by Gillian Roberts. The dress had this beautiful v neck, with sparkly details over the top. The decoration by Angels and Gypsies was perfect for the colour theme as Celestine added rose gold pumpkins to the table to keep the autumnal theme while adapting it to our colour scheme.
Cake
We also chose to have a cake cutting and some champagne - it was a perfect excuse to hide from the rain for a while and wait for the showers to stop. Bespoke Bakes provided the most incredible cake with gorgeous icing details in the bottom. Very elegant and romantic.
Beauty
The models got ready thanks to the lovely Abi Taylor who chose a beautiful combination of hair curls with a simple but elegant makeup style. With the gorgeous hair accessories provided by HoneyV, it gave a luxurious feeling while fitting the British countryside and barn look.
