A poetic, artistic and minimalistic styled shoot at Alrewas Hayes

We're obsessed with the stunning icy tones of this styled shoot and the modern twist on a classic venue. From the stunning dried florals to the modern fashion and elegant cake and tablescape - we're in love. Photographer Emma Wilkinson tells us all about the inspiration and concept behind the shoot.

Poetic, artistic, minimalistic.

Tell us all about the inspiration behind this shoot?

When shooting at Alrewas Hayes, I really wanted to focus on the European feel of the venue. Putting together some minimalistic colours and styling, to complement the venues history. 

From the gorgeous soft light pouring in from the courtyard, through the arched windows of the orangery, to the wonderful distinctive curved ceiling. The atmosphere at Alrewas Hayes, gave the shoot a raw, poetic feel.    

We took a modern day couple, and placed them in a house dating back to 1066. Resulting in a passionate, modern day love story. 

How did you choose select the other suppliers to work with? 

We have grown a close relationship working together on previously shoots. We always ‘get’ each others ideas, and everything comes together so effortlessly on the day.
