Something New: dress and shoes
Something Borrowed: a lucky penny from my friend Kirstyn
Something Blue: blue crystals on my nails
Tell us all about your wedding theme...
Blossom trees were our theme. I love them and the soft pink colours.
What was your favourite part of the day?
Walking down to Michael to see him stood crying.

What was the most emotional moment of the day?
Michael says for him it was when I walked in.
Tell us about the ceremony...
We had a registrar ceremony and no readings, however we wrote our own vows.
  • Bridal entrance: Ellie Goulding - Love Me Like You Do
  • Ceremony Songs: Shania Twain - From This Moment and Celine Dion - If That's What It Takes
  • Bridal Exit: Ed Sheeran - Perfect
  • First Dance: Celine Dion - Power of Love
Were there any surprises on the day?
My grandma was aloud out of the home for the first time since lockdown and made it to the wedding. So happy she could make it.
Best wedding planning moment: Securing the venue and our date.

Worst wedding planning moment: The guestlist!
Advice for future brides…
Do not compromise on anything and always go with what make you two happy. Don't let anyone interfere.
Tell us about the dress...
I knew I only wanted a Dando London dress. There was only one stockist an hour from us. Which was the closest.  However, when I tried them on I liked two different designs. Luckily the ladies in the little Pearl boutique were amazing and asked fir it to be custom made.  It was everything I wanted. I also had a custom made veil made by once upon a dress in York who sourced and brought in the glitter tulle I wanted and hand stitched the matching lace from my dress to create it. The veil was over 5 meters long.
Best wedding splurge: My dress and veil it was worth every penny and stress.

How did you choose your venue?
I love water so it had to be somewhere with a lake and Hardwick is just breathtaking. The floral chapel with glass balcony also secured our choice. Amy Lavell who is the wedding events manger was amazing to work with.
Tell us about your wedding favours...
Hannah made them. Miniature pink gin with ribbons and stickers with names and dates on. We also had pink sweet bags with thank you cards.
Is there anything you wish you'd done differently?
No. Even though we had plans changed with the current situation we wouldn't change a thing.
The Wedding Breakfast
Starter: Brussels Pate
Main: Chicken with Seasonal Veg
Dessert: Trio of Desserts
Funniest moment of the day:  The speeches!
Tell us about the cake...
It was made by Need a Cake Eston who is a family friend and has made my cakes for every event made ours. We had two matching cakes. A 5 tier dummy cake and a 3 tier real one. Vanilla sponge. Lemon drizzle and carrot cake. Decorated with real flowers.
Wedding must-have: Videographer and Photographer
What was your wedding budget – and did you stick to it?
We didn't have a budget luckily. I wanted the day to be exactly what I had been dreaming of!
Who was your favourite wedding supplier?
Has to be Amy Lavell from Hardwick. Nothing was ever too much to ask and given the difficult times she was always in touch and made sure our day ran perfect, including our stay the night before. She was incredible.
Did you have have anything unusual at your wedding?
A choreographed dance!
Who is your favourite celebrity bride?
I loved Morgan Stewart's wedding which is where her flower inspiration came from. She had only Calla Lilly's in her bouquet.
Tell us about your first dance...
We had dance lessons for almost a year with Steve from strictly dance infusion. He choreographed and edited the music to work with it. It started with the beginning of Adele's Skyfall and then went into Power of Love by Celine Dion. We chose this, well Michael did, as he's a huge Celine fan and when we were in Vegas I surprised him with tickets. We went twice in a week and attended her last ever Vegas show it was amazing. Vegas is also where we got engaged.
Tell us about your Honeymoon...
We had the Sandals Royal Barbados booked with a swim up room, however sadly it was cancelled.
