This supplier takeover is brought to you by Jenny Ross, a bridal makeup artist based in Scotland. Jenny has written the following post, featuring her top 3 skincare products and top 5 makeup products for brides - all under £10! Bridal beauty on a budget... what more could you want? Following her post, read up on a little Q+A with lovely Jenny, including future trends and her advice to brides. Take it away, Jenny...

Keeping costs down when planning your wedding isn’t always possible, every aspect must be perfect and sometimes there is no other alternative but to splurge and invest. But that doesn’t always have to be the case with your makeup and skincare.

It often comes up in conversation at trials or consultations what brands I use in my bridal makeup kit. Expensive and high end isn’t always best, so don’t worry if you spot the odd budget friendly foundation or cheap and cheerful lipgloss in your makeup artists kit. I’m a firm believer in multi-use products and have built my kit to offer the best range and variety to suit every single individuals requirements and preferences. With every product tried and tested, I’m confident that even though there’s the odd affordable buy in my kit, every bride and bridal party will be spared no luxury and quality.

Whether you’re trying to create a skincare regime in the build up to your big day, are in need of that hen do or honeymoon makeup bag, or just fancy a shake up with your makeup, but don’t want to spend a fortune, I’ve got you covered.

If you don’t know me, or haven’t followed me for long, let me start by introducing myself as a self obsessed glowy skin addict! I love nothing more than hydrated, fresh and radiant skin, so to give your skin that much needed hydration hit, these are my top 3 affordable skincare buys.

One of my skincare staples in my kit and used on almost every client, super duper hydrating and instantly refreshes skin without feeling heavy. Perfect for prepping your skin before your base makeup and helps your foundation to apply smoothly.

Described as “the perfect pep up in a bottle”, this serum is a recently new addition to my kit. I’ve been using it on myself twice daily when I’m feeling a little bit overwhelmed or after a busy day and it helps soothe and calm my skin, it’s also packed with antioxidants which help to combat free-radicals in the skin, which can damage healthy skin cells causing oxidative stress. So it really is the perfect pick me up for your skin!

Making sure once a week you treat your skin to a hydrating facemask and take that little time out for some self care is essential! Especially on the run up to your big day. Obviously depending on your skin type, you can mix up your skincare to suit, I just love how affordable these particular ones are, especially considering how amazingly refreshed your skin feels after! These tissue masks are also a fab addition to the night before your wedding for a wee pamper to help you unwind and relax with the rest of the bridal party.

Now we’ve prepped skin, are feeling fresh and hydrated, let’s move on to makeup!

This is a solid favourite of mine and so inexpensive! But not as a mascara... I use this as a brow gel! You get so much product for your pennies and is super easy to comb through brows to keep them in place. Highly recommend this if you haven’t tried already!

Beauty Bay’s own brand makeup and their skincare have quickly became one of my favourite brands to recommend to others, really affordable, fantastic quality, amazing longevity! This palette has a brilliant nude shadow range with the right mixture of cool and warm tones, and of mattes and shimmers so you’re able to create the perfect look to suit you.

When it comes to the glow, this isn’t really a step that I like to scrimp on! I personally really like this liquid illuminator, it blends easily on top or mixed in with your foundation. And I absolutely love it on its own for those makeup free days where you just feel you need that little bit of sheen on your cheeks!

Another fab buy for those no makeup days where you just need a bit of colour in your checks, and for your full glam days too. There are 6 different shades to choose from, really creamy and blendable, and it lasts! You can also use this on your eyes too as a base for shadow or just a wash of soft colour!

Finding a classic nude lip on a budget can be tricky, and believe me - I have scoured and searched for so long! They’re super creamy with a soft sheen, and not drying. And with 3 different shades available in this collection there’s one to suit everyone!

Q+A with Jenny
Tell us a little bit more about what you do...
I’m a bridal makeup specialist (and currently in training to be a skincare specialist!) based in the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh. I absolutely love what I do and the confidence that makeup can bring. Being able to advise on the correct skincare and help my brides find a good regime for them on the run up to their wedding is going to be even more exciting and fulfilling.

What makes your service unique?
I pride myself on my versatility in my work, from super natural no makeup makeup to full glam, I will always ensure everyone has the exact makeup and skin prep to suit them and their individual requirements. I’ll always be happy to help and nothing is ever too much trouble! We’re all just trying to live our best lives and enjoy every day to the fullest, and I hope I can bring not just my profession, but also my personality, positivity and also relaxing nature to your wedding morning so everyone feels completely at ease.

How did you get into the wedding industry?
Honestly when I first started getting into makeup I never saw myself getting into the wedding side of the industry! I really took my time to build up my skills, experience and confidence as I always strive for nothing but the best for my clients. Having been married myself, I was quite a relaxed bride, with a very fuss-free morning. I knew I wanted to create a relaxing atmosphere with my profession and nothing but the highest quality of service. A friend of a friend asked for me to do their wedding makeup and after that I never looked back! I found so much joy in what I do and wedding makeup artistry has just became my life! And I love it!

What's your favourite part of the job?
Meeting my brides for the first time is very high on the scale of my favourite part of my job, getting to know them and what is important to them. But honestly, seeing everything to come together, the hair, the makeup, the dress, and just getting to see everyone so happy all together is what I absolutely love the most!
What bridal makeup trends should we look out for?
When it comes to makeup, there are trends all over social media, but for your wedding day, I don’t really like to follow trends (little rebel!). I believe if you love a look, go for it, want bright lipstick on your big day, go for it, fancy a sharp as hell winged liner, go for it. Whatever you are used to and comfortable with, go for it! There is nothing more important than still feeling like yourself and feeling confident, so whatever it is that you fancy when it comes to your makeup, YOU DO YOU!

Advice for future brides...
We’re all in such a strange and stressful time right now, even more so when we have no idea how to predict the coming weeks and months. My best advice for you is a simple one - just enjoy it. Enjoy the planning, if something is stressing you out, leave it, come back to it another day, in another mindset. Ask others for advice but remember what is important to someone else might not be what you feel is a priority. Above all, just take your time and enjoy it!

  8. Numerous ladies who need to feel engaged in the picture they present to the world develop bolder, all the more square formed brows. Be that as it may, not all ladies are equipped for developing sufficient hair to do so normally. What's more, along these lines, they resort to different strategies, similar to cosmetics, tattoos, and microblading.
